Revisiting “The Antihuman Manifesto,” 4 Years Later
Hello all, long time no see.
Some of you may have noticed that I have since taken down what many have dubbed “The Antihuman Manifesto.” I believe that name to be a misnomer; a more apt name would be: “The Misanthrope Manifesto” or, better yet, “A Teenage Temper Tantrum.”
The titular rant-essay amalgamation has taken on a life of its own and, to my horror, is still being reposted online by persons I have never even interacted with. I know this plea will fall to deaf auditory systems, but please: I beg you not to spread it anymore, anywhere.
For one, it is not worth anyone’s time. Secondly, nothing good can come from it. It does not come from a place of understanding, does not engage with the topic in good faith, and is, in fact, nothing but an emotion-fueled rant masquerading itself behind the mask of rationality and composure via text.
My reasons for writing it are my own. Therefore, forgive me that I will not delve into them, but rest assured, I do not hold those beliefs any longer—if I ever have!
If you are one of those persons whose beliefs do happen to coalesce with those mentioned in the rant, I urge you to a) read my debunking below and b) find people who care about you.
It is easy to be swayed by hatred when you feel alone and isolated. I am sorry about the world that benefits from us feeling that way, and I apologize for ever contributing to the malaise.
Now, let us get into it.
